Northwestern Medicine Opens New Gurnee Comprehensive Health Center

Northwestern Medicine will now offer comprehensive health services in Gurnee, Illinois beginning January 19. Patient services offered include: family medicine, sports medicine, allergy and immunology, radiology and immediate care. The location will also have an on-site lab.

The family medicine physicians offer diagnosis and treatment for everything from the common cold to chronic illnesses, in addition to routine screenings, annual check-ups and other preventive medicine services.

Care is provided by physicians who are part of Northwestern Medical Group and who serve on the medical staff of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and/or Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital.

The immediate care center offers extended hours (8am-8pm, seven days a week) and provides care when you need it. The Gurnee location is staffed by licensed physicians who are trained to evaluate and treat a variety of medical conditions in both adult and pediatric patients, treating minor illnesses, minor accidents and skin conditions. The center also offers vaccinations, X-rays, lab orders and tests.

“We are looking forward to serving Gurnee and the surrounding communities, providing patients with high quality, compassionate care, close to where they live and work,” said Richard Clark, MD, FAAFP, a family medicine physician and Northwestern Medicine Gurnee Medical Director. “In addition to our team of family medicine physicians, an allergist, and a nurse practitioner, our Immediate Care Center offers an easy-to-access alternative to waiting in an emergency room for patients who have a minor health issue and need to see a healthcare provider quickly. And, our on-site imaging center provides easy in and out access to x-rays, CT and MRI scans, mammograms, and bone density testing.”

The center is conveniently located just off of I-294 at 6155 Grand Avenue. On-site parking is available for patients and visitors.
