Northwestern Medicine Expands Urology Services in Western Suburbs

Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group is expanding urology services in the western suburbs, opening a new clinic in the Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital Medical Office Building at 302 Randall Road in Geneva, Illinois.

Appointments can now be scheduled with physicians Steven M. Baughman, MD, Michael A. Rashid, MD, and John G. Christensen Jr, MD. The clinic offers minimally invasive surgery for kidney cancers and robotic prostatectomy to treat prostate cancer. Dr. Rashid specializes in kidney stone treatment and management. Drs. Rashid and Christensen also specialize in Botox for overactive bladder.

“We are thrilled to offer more services to patients in Geneva and its surrounding communities,” said Dr. Baughman. “Our integration with the team at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and proximity to the Northwestern Medicine Cancer Centers in Geneva and Warrenville provides patients with direct access to high-quality care.”

Dr. Baughman graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed his residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. Dr. Rashid graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency there as well. Dr. Christensen is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, with internship and residency completed at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Together, they have 70-plus years combined urology experience.
