Centegra expands Intensive Outpatient Program for Adults with Mental Health Disorders

WOODSTOCK, Ill. – Centegra Health System has expanded the Intensive Outpatient Program for adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders to add an afternoon session.
The program provides care to community members with mental health disorders that cannot be managed in a traditional outpatient setting or as a step down from inpatient or residential care. The Intensive Outpatient Program meets three to five days per week for three hours a day and all participants have an opportunity to see a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner in the first two days of the program.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is offered at Centegra Specialty Hospital Woodstock, 527 W. South St. and will eventually join inpatient psychiatric services at the Centegra Hospital-Woodstock campus.
“By expanding our Intensive Outpatient Program we are doubling our capacity to help people and giving community members the flexibility to choose a session that suits their needs,” said Dr. Elizabeth McMasters, medical director of Behavioral Health at Centegra and a psychiatrist with Centegra Physician Care. “This program is part of Centegra’s commitment to offering much-needed mental health services in McHenry County.”
