Valley West Auxiliary Donates Bereavement Bench

SANDWICH, IL – The Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital Auxiliary has donated a bereavement bench to the campus of Valley West Hospital. The bereavement bench was donated to the Maternity Suites department as a memorial and a place for parents and family to gather and remember tiny lives that have been lost. The bench was installed on January 13, 2017. Community members are welcome and encouraged to visit the memorial, place flowers or spend a quiet moment at the bench which is located on the Pleasant Street side of the hospital.

Maternity staff members would like to express their gratitude to the Auxiliary for their kind and generous donation that is truly a gift for those have lost a child.
